Season 2 Finale!

It’s bittersweet – but hey, we’ll be back soon for season 3 – and it will be better than ever!

Chef Kevin is cooking up some great ideas for the next installment of the show.  We can’t wait to start filming over the summer!

For the season 2 finale, Chef Kevin closes the series with a simple but delicious breakfast combo: Whole Wheat Banana Nut Muffins and a Berry Protein Blast Smoothie.  ep7_3YUM!  The Cooking With Kevin staff can attest that these muffins are addicting – but we don’t have to feel guilty about eating so many because Kevin made sure they were super healthy!  And the smoothie – who knew eating fruits could be so yummy.  Blending together an assortment of berries with maple water (yes, you read that right!), bananas, pineapple, and spinach, Chef Kevin uses his Bullet blender to whip up some wholesome goodness.

On This Week’s Episode…

100_4607copyThere’s nothing like a good, home-cooked meal and Chef Kevin shows us exactly how to do just that.

Teen Chef On Board!  Chef Kevin’s neighbor and Teen Chef Jacob joins us to share his famous Ginger Snap recipe.  Screen Shot 2015-07-13 at 10.16.01 AMBlending together a gracious amount of buttery goodness with flour and sugar and spices, Jacob treats the Cooking With Kevin crew with a little bit of gingery heaven.  Later, Chef Kevin demonstrates how good food can be cooked on the go with his succulent Crock Pot Salsa Chicken.  Screen Shot 2015-07-13 at 10.19.47 AMIt really is this easy: add chicken and salsa – leave – add sour cream – leave – then enjoy!  And as always, Chef Kevin’s cohorts add a little bit of zesty-ness to the show with their fun segments.

In the Know’s Tim educates us on the origin of salsa, Get Smart’s Brenna informs us about meats and their natural vitamins, while Helpful Tips’ Julie shares the benefits of ginger. It’s a full and fun show, folks!
