There’s nothing like a good, home-cooked meal and Chef Kevin shows us exactly how to do just that.

 

 

 On the Menu:

Old-Fashioned Beef Stroganoff, Crusty French Bread, with Cranberry Feta Salad,

and Banana Cream Pie

IMG_3634Starting from a family favorite, Chef Kevin gives beef stroganoff a new twist as he browns the meat and prepares the succulent sauce before preparing some delicious home-made crusty french bread.  IMG_3647Visiting the show for the first time, Guest Chef Brenna shows Chef Kevin how to prepare a refreshing cranberry feta salad.  IMG_3643Starting with healthy greens and adding vitamin-rich cranberries, they top of the side-dish off with yummy feta cheese.

Finishing up, Chef Kevin makes an amazing banana cream pie, filling the bottom of the crust with sliced bananas before sprinkling the filling with slivered almonds.  IMG_3648Chef Kevin makes cooking simple and delicious!

While Kevin gets his cooking on, his side-kick Tim shares some interesting tid-bits about the origin of stroganoff.  IMG_3635For instance, the UK and Australia commonly serve their stroganoff with rice instead of noodles!

and Rich Chocolate Pudding

IMG_3614Chef Kevin begins the episode with preparing a delicious salad, adding to the nutrient-rich greens a variety of chopped and grated vegetables.  Colorful is key!  Once the salad is prepared, he starts the chicken, browning the poultry before combining lemon and herbs to make a tasty sauce to drizzle over it.

IMG_3623Finishing up, he whips together a rich chocolate pudding – a succulent treat truly for chocolate lovers only.  Topping it with fluffy whipped cream, he completes yet another family favorite meal.  Chef Kevin makes cooking simple and delicious!

While Kevin gets his cooking on, his side-kicks Tim and Kelsey share some interesting tid-bits about community gardens and chocolate.  For instance, did you know that chocolate manufacturers currently use 20% of the world’s peanuts and 40% of the world’s almonds?!?  And adding her two cents to the mix, Chef Julie uses her expertise to provide us with some helpful tips.  Thanks side-kicks!
