On the Menu:

Lemon-Herb Chicken, Freshly Steamed Broccoli and Carrots with a Light, Buttery Sauce,

and a Delectable Rhubarb Cake

This week, Guest Chef Brenna shows Chef Kevin how to make her signature Lemon-Herb Chicken.

Chopping up fresh herbs, she and Kevin layer the chicken with rosemary and parsley before adding chicken broth and baking it in the oven.

Providing a side dish to accentuate the main course, Chef Kevin steams up some vegetables with a delightful light, buttery sauce - proving that cooking can be simple and easy.

Wrapping up the the deliciously-teamed dinner, Chef Kevin makes his amazing Rhubarb Cake – a to-die-for-dessert – moist cake with rhubarb goodness and a crumble topping!

While Chef Kevin is busy in the kitchen with Guest Chef Brenna, In The Know’s Tim shares with us some history about rhubarb (you did know the leaves are poisonous, right?!?) and Get Smart’s Kelsey interrupts her gardening to talk with us about the benefits of fresh herbs.  Thanks Side-Kicks!

Home-Style Chicken Pot Stew, Steamed Green Zucchini,

with a Fresh Berry Cobbler

This week, Kevin makes a succulent chicken pot stew, IMG_7152allowing the flavors to simmer into a perfect combination of home-style comfort food and gourmet-to-go.

IMG_7138Slowly cooking the chicken in a dutch oven, he adds a variety of vegetables later and mixes them in with the savory sauce.

Adding some steamed zucchini on the side, he tops off the meal with his amazing fresh berry cobbler.  With Kevin, cooking can be easy and delicious!

While Chef Kevin is busy in the kitchen, IMG_7142In The Know’s Tim shares with us some history about cobbler desserts, elaborating on their origin and what other countries and states named their version of this season-fresh dessert.
